He went on to start eTravel in February 1999, opening the doors for trading on 3 May that same year.
As the pioneer of the Independent Travel Company model in South Africa, his inspired and organised leadership ensures that the company remains the largest and most successful in it’s field.
Before entering the travel industry Garth studied on a bursary from SAB. He holds a B.com from Natal University and Honours in Financial Management. His experience includes Financial Management positions at SAB and SC Johnson Wax.
When Garth is not working he indulges in his passion for the bushveld, his wife and his children – Charlene, Trent and Lauren.
He has a great love for South Africa and believes that if we don’t make a difference we don’t matter.
Tammy Hunt
Operations Manager – eTravel Group
Tammy’s organisational and leadership skills have helped to earn eTravel a reputation of integrity, honesty and efficiency amongst ITC members and travel partners.

She was instrumental in leading the significant growth achieved by the Coastal region which now, 6 years after inception, contributes close to half of all group revenue.
Before joining eTravel Tammy owned and managed travel agency ‘Time TO Travel’ which was an eTravel member. She has a wealth of travel industry and travel experience that includes time in US ski resorts and management experience on Russian Ice Breaker, Kapitan Dranitsyn, which circumnavigates the Artic Circle.
Tammy is married to Scarbra and both were recently blessed with the birth of their little girl Tyler.
He is well travelled and in his career has received many awards for top performances.
Dillon is a recent graduate from the Institute of Marketing Management.
His wife, Karen, and two young children, Gemma & Zoe, ensure that most of his free time is happily occupied.
Shaun Stober
Financial Manager – eTravel Group
Shaun joined eTravel as Financial Manager Coastal in November 2008. Prior to this he has held various positions as Business Planning Manager, Management Accountant and Financial Manager in the FMCG, manufacturing and oil services industries.

Melanie Pires

Melanie has been with the eTravel group for 8 years. In this time she has been part of the significant growth and success with management contributions to preferred supplier relationships, Marketing and Advertising. Read More / Less
She is now responsible for the group’s wholesale division eHolidays and has been instrumental in the growth this brand has achieved.
Melanie has a diploma in travel and tourism and spent 6 year’s as part of the SA Airlink team, responsible for the Johannesburg branch and the launch of Airlink tours.
Bush and beach holidays are her passion and much of her free time is spent with friends and family.
Charmaine Milner
Travel Manager – Coastal
Charmaine is one of the longest serving Managers at eTravel having joined the company in May 2004. It’s been a steady rise for Charmaine as she progressively worked her way from Processing Ticketing Consultant to her current role as Travel Manager Coastal.

Charmaine was an integral part of the Coastal growth and success and was also instrumental in the start up of the Umhlanga office.
She has a diploma in Travel and Tourism and prior to joining eTravel worked for AATB and Seekers and also spent 4 years travelling and working in the US.
Her free time is enjoyed socialising in true South African style with good wine, good food and good company!
Sian van Grinsven
Management Accountant – eTravel Group
Whilst studying for her ND in the Northwest Province Sian worked as a Vacational Student for AngloGold Ashanti. Upon completion, she was permanently employed by Anglo Gold and obtained annual promotions in every year that she was there. Sian then went on to Alstom as a Cost Controller working on the Eskom Medupi Power Station Project. Read More / Less
